Dr. Ronald L. Melnick has over 45 years of experience in the field of Environmental Toxicology. He earned his BS from Rutgers The State University of New Jersey and his MS and PhD from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He then completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley. For over 28 years, he served as a Senior Toxicologist and Director of Special Programs at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) and the National Toxicology Program (NTP). During his tenure, he held positions including serving as Manager of the NIEHS Experimental Toxicology Unit in the Carcinogenesis and Toxicology Evaluation Branch and as Group Leader of the NIEHS Toxicokinetics and Biochemical Modeling Group in the Laboratory of Computational Biology and Risk Analysis. He retired in 2009 and is currently an independent consultant.
