About Dr. Ramachandra Prasad Tummala, FAANS, MD
Dr. Ramachandra P. Tummala has 17 years of experience in the field of Neurological Surgery. He earned his BS in Mathematics from the University of Miami and his MD from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. After completing an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Neurosurgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School, he went on to complete a fellowship in Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and another fellowship in Neuroendovascular Surgery at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Buffalo. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurological Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as an Associate Professor in the Departments of Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Radiology and as the Assistant Director of the Neurosurgery Residency Program at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He currently serves as an Attending Neurosurgeon and Endovascular Neurosurgeon at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center, Hennepin County Medical Center, and M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center. He is also a Neurosurgeon at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital, Minneapolis VA Center, and Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Moreover, he is the Director of the Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Co-Chair of the University of Minnesota Physicians' Stroke Clinical Service Unit, and a Professor in the Departments of Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Radiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
