About Dr. David Nigel Armstrong, FACS, FASCRS, FRCS, MD
Dr. David N. Armstrong has over 30 years of experience in Colon and Rectal Surgery. He earned his BS in Pathology from the University of Manchester and his MD from the University of Manchester School of Medical Sciences. He completed a Residency in General Surgery from Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and then a Research Fellowship in Surgery at State University of New York Upstate Medical University. He then went on to complete a second Residency in General Surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Mayo Clinic Hospital. Today, this expert is board certified in both Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery. Formerly, he served as the Vice-Chair in the Department of Surgery at Northside Hospital Gwinnett, the Chief of Colorectal Surgery at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center, and the Director of the Fellowship Program at Georgia Colon and Rectal Surgical Associates. Since 1993, he has been a Surgeon at Georgia Colon and Rectal Surgical Associates.
