About Dr. Christopher Bateman Dewing, MD
Dr. Christopher B. Dewing has 14 years of experience in the fields of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He earned his BA in Social Studies from Harvard University and his MD from the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. After completing both an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Naval Medical Center San Diego, he went on to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at The Steadman Clinic. Today, this expert is board certified in Orthopaedics Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as a Staff Surgeon and as the Director of Sports Medicine and Hip Arthroscopy at Naval Medical Center San Diego. He was also a Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Dewing Sports Orthopedic Surgery. He is also the Medical Director of Northwest Integrated Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics at Northwest Specialty Hospital.
