About Dr. Adam Ben Elfant, FACG, MD
Dr. Adam B. Elfant has 27 years of experience in the field of Gastroenterology. He earned his BS in Biology from Upsala College and his MD from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. After completing both an internship and residency in Internal Medicine, he went on to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology, all at Cooper University Hospital. He subsequently completed another fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy and Endoscopic Oncology at Wellesley Hospital and today, this expert is board-certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Formerly, he served as a Clinical Instructor and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Currently, he serves as a Gastroenterologist at Cooper University Hospital and the Cooper Digestive Institute. He is also the Director of Therapeutic Endoscopy and Endoscopic Oncology, as well as the Head of the Division of Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at Cooper University Hospital. Moreover, he is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
