This supremely qualified and board certified surgeon received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins Medical School. He then went on to complete a Residency in General Surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine. This expert is fellowship trained in Liver Transplantation and Organ Transplantation. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles in professional journals and has published 17 book chapters. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and belongs to multiple professional organizations including the the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and the International Liver Transplant Society. He holds a patent for the innovative use of Perillyl Alcohol in Organ Transplantation. He is the former Chief of the Division of Transplant at the University of California-Irvine and is currently Director of Transplant Laboratory and Chief of the Division of Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Surgery at a top University where he also serves as a Professor of Surgery.
