He earned his BS in earth science and meteorology from Kean University, also completing courses in Italian Studies at Scuola Lorenzo de' Medici in Florence, Italy. He is a certified consulting meteorologist and broadcast meteorologist. He is active in his field as a member of several organizations, including the National Weather Association, the American Meteorological Society, Climate Without Borders, and the International Association of Broadcast Meteorologists. He is also active in his field as an invited speaker for various meteorological meetings and an invited participant in conferences and workshops. He has received multiple awards for his work, including being an NY Emmy Award winner for his work as a broadcasting meteorologist.
