This highly-qualified, board-certified expert has over 25 years of experience in anesthsiology. He received his BA in biology and psychology from Washington University at St. Louis before earning his MD from the University of Miami. He then completed his residency training in internal medicine and anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is an active member of several professional societies and has received numerous funded grants for his contributions to post-operative anesthesiology research. In addition, this expert has authored over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts and 13 books. He formerly served as the chief of perioperative medicine, the chief operating officer of the department of anesthesiology, perioperative medicine, and pain management, and the vice chair of clinical research in anesthesiology, perioperative medicine, and pain management, all at the University of Miami.
