About Dr. Mark B. Mycyk, FAACT, FACEP, MD
Dr. Mark B. Mycyk has over 24 years of experience in the fields of Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology. He earned his BA in English and American Literature from Harvard College and his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. After completing his internship in Internal Medicine and his residency in Emergency Medicine at Boston Medical Center, he went on to complete his fellowship in Medical Toxicology at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. Today, this expert is certified in board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Currently, this expert serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, a Professor at Rush Medical College, and as an Attending Physician at Cook County Health. He is also the Research Director of John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and The Toxikon Consortium, a clinical educational partnership between the Illinois Poison Center (IPC), Cook County Health and Hospital System, and UI Health.
