This highly qualified expert received his M.D. from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete a Residency in General Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is Fellowship trained in Thoracic Surgery and Complex Cardiovascular Surgery and board certified / recertified in Adult Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery. He is a member / fellow of several local and National specialty organizations, including the Surgical Association of Louisiana, Louisiana State Medical Society, The Society of Thoracic Surgery, The American College of Chest Physicians, The Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, and The American College of Surgeons and American Board of Thoeacic Surgery. He has published 15+ peer reviewed articles in professional journals. He is currently a professor of Surgery (Thoracic and Cardiovascular) at a top ranked university.
