This case involves a company that manufactured virtual reality consoles. Allegedly, the company executives artificially inflated the company’s stock value by making statements that there was a high demand for their consoles. However, the company executives failed to disclose that company was having supply chain issues that resulted in poor quality control. The demand for their consoles was not as high as they stated due to the poor quality of the semiconductors within the product. inline imageI have 27 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and am capable of identifying quality issues throughout a supply chain. I served as the head of the quality engineering department in a semiconductor corporation and my team was responsible for supplier quality.

This expert received his M.S. and Ph.D. in industrial engineering. His research interests are in quality engineering, industrial statistics, and engineering management with a general focus on continuous improvement methodologies. This expert worked 27 years in the semiconductor industry for various telecommunications and semiconductor manufacturing companies where he led teams through the development and implementation of large-scale quality systems and complex manufacturing processes. This expert is currently a member of the engineering faculty at a large state university.
