This case takes place in New Jersey and involves a woman who suffered a significant injury to her hand when shooting a pistol’s. Several years after she initially purchased gun, the woman took the revolver target shooting. She gripped the revolver with her left hand on the pistol’s grip and her right hand wrapped around his left hand as shown on the gun’s safety & instruction manual. The woman fired the weapon once and, immediately after firing, noticed a sharp pain in both of her hands. She began bleeding profusely from her injuries, which were caused by a mechanical defect that caused the weapon to leak gasses from the chamber during firing.
