Database Expert Investigates Telephone Consumer Protection Act Violations

This involves a number of class action lawsuits filed against a large telemarketer accused of operating in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The claims alleged violations of various provisions of the statute, including calls to numbers on the national “Do Not Call Registry” and auto-dialed calls to cell phones. An expert in SQL databases was sought to review a volume of data consisting of telephone call records, identify class members using reverse lookup procedures and databases, and analyze the records to determine numbers of connected calls by the telemarketer.
